   Computer Virus

During this period, we discussed about Computer Virus. Computer Virus is popularly known as the 'Brain virus' was created in 1986 by two Pakistani brothers, Amjad and Basit Farooq Alvi. This virus, which spread via floppy disks, was known only to infect boot records and not computer hard drives like most viruses today
There are 2 classification of Computer Virus:
The first is Nonresident it can be thought of as consisting of a finder module and a replication module. The finder module is responsible for finding new files to infect.
The second is Resident viruses it contain a replication module that is similar to the one that is employed by nonresident viruses.


Computer Security Measures

There are 7 Computer Security Measures.

The first one "Password" it is use to authenticate authorized users and allow access to a system or network. The second one "Encryption" it is a conversion of data into a form called cipher that cannot be easily understood and unauthorized receivers. Decryption is the process of converting encrypted  data back into its original form, so it can be understood. The 3rd one "Access Control Software" it is assigned access rights and privileges in a computer network to a different user. The 4th one "Firewalls" it is consist of hardware and / or software that is designed to insulate an organization's internal network from the wider internet but putting a boundary around it. The 5th one "Bio metrics" it is digitizing biological characteristics  The 6th one "Audit Control Software" it can enable user to trace and identify any operator who gains access to the system and the exact time that this occurred-such as after working hours. The Last one "Anti-virus Software" it works by searching the computer's hard disk and storage media for virus patterns and signatures and matching them against its own database of virus definitions.
